This is a requested recipe. I hope you will like this.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Ubod
1/4 kg ground Pork
1 sayote
1 box cheese
onion, finely sliced
garlic, minched
bell pepper, finely sliced
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp soysauce
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
100 pcs lumpia wrapper
A. Cooking the filling
1. Saute garlic until brown. Add onion then bell pepper.
2. Add the ground pork, mix well.
3. Add the vinegar and soysauce. Mix well. Simmer for at least 1 minute.
4. Add the Ubod and mix well.
5. Cook for about 10 minutes, intermittently mixing every minute.
6. Add sayote and mix.
7. Add sugar.
8. Add salt to taste.
9. Cook for another 3-4 minutes with occasional mixing.
10. Remove from stove and cool. Tilt while storing to remove excess water and oil.
B. Slice the cheese into 100 sticks
1. Slice about 3 mm thick cheese.
2. Divide this slice into four.
3. Slice the remaining cheese following steps 1 and 2.
C. Wrapping
1. Spread a single wrapper in a clean dry plate
2. Put enough filling (about 1 tbsp) into the wrapper, near the edge.
3. Put 1 slice cheese on top of the filling.
4. Roll the wrapper ensuring that the filling is fully covered.
5. Seal the rooled lumpia with water.
D. Frying
1. Heat an adequate cooking oil.
2. Fry the lumpia until brown.
3. Serve hot with sauce....
There is a special sauce that would go great with this. Hehehe...
