BAP (Basketball Association of the Philippines), after getting what it wants - to retain BAP in the name of the new cage body - BAP-SBP (Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas), wants to ruin the hopes of the nation by still clinging to the national team it created which was the successor of the team which was humiliated by never-been's.
These are a few scenarios nowadays which almost cover newspapers, televisions, radio, etc. It proves that really Pinoys love comedy, tragedy and drama.
This coming May elections, which falls on the birthay of my brother Jun, is a test for the Filipino people. By way of media and other information channels, Filipinos are now in a better position to fully grasp what has happened to our country.
I personally believe that this May elections will be far better than before in terms of the quality of the votes that will be casted. Quality here means a very thought-of choice, not based on popularity and money, but on the sincerity of those who wanted to get elected.
The Filipino people nowadays had already heard enough, read enough and witnessed enough. Administration and opposition people believe they will win. What I want to win are the Filipino people. These parties unite and quarrel for a sole purpose of winning in numbers, to control municipalities, provinces, cities, the congress and the senate.
With this in the minds of these people, it is no doubt, one of them will win. But the question remains, is it also a victory of the Filipino people or not?
This, hopefully, will be reflected coming May. I certainly hope and pray that Filipinos will make the people win and not any party or personality.
This is real. We have to make a reality check...
